Shown here is a production ready BMW M1 135i. Meant to compete against the likes of the Audi S3 the M1 shows off the three-door version of the latest 1-Series range, which is currently available only in five-door form.

Powering the hot hatch is a 3.0-liter Twin Power Turbo straight-six that BMW says delivers "more than 300 HP". Our sources state that it will produce 320-horsepower in production trim.

Other upgrades include a reworked suspension, larger brakes and 18-inch M light alloys with a double spoke design.

The concept model that will be on display in Geneva sports an aero kit comprising a new front bumper with large air intakes, a different rear bumper with a diffuser and double tailpipes in a dark chrome finish, while the sides of the body and the lower end of the tailgate are adorned by decals in the distinctive M Division blue and red colors.

German tuner Tuningwerk has a package for the BMW 7-Series L (long wheelbase edition) that dials output up to 720 PS (530 kW / 710 hp).

The corresponding torque rating is equally outstanding at 1,090 Nm (804 lb-ft). All that output results in the 7 Series's 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint time of just 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 350 km/h (217.5 mph), achieved in part also by a substantial weight reduction.

The 120 kg weight reduction was achieve by means of carbon as well as other factors including lightweight carbon-ceramic brakes and a new sport exhaust system. Total curb weight with half a tank of fuel is 2,030 kg (4466 lbs).

BMW today announced the introduction of its newest hybrid, the BMW ActiveHybrid 5. Based on the BMW 535i Sedan, the ActiveHybrid 5 brings together BMW’s 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline six-cylinder engine, an electric drive system and an eight-speed automatic transmission for the first time. The latest generation of BMW ActiveHybrid technology also adds precisely controlled energy management to the mix. All of which gives the BMW ActiveHybrid 5 an exceptional balance of performance and fuel economy for a benchmark performance/luxury sedan. Its drive system generates combined output of 335 hp (DIN), allows the car to be driven on electric power alone up to 37 mph (60 km/h), and accelerates the BMW ActiveHybrid 5 from 0 to 60 mph in 5.7 seconds (preliminary). The BMW ActiveHybrid 5 will arrive in US showrooms in March 2012.

The 300 hp inline six with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology in the BMW ActiveHybrid 5 is the same engine renowned for its free-revving capability, pulling power and efficiency in the BMW 535i. The electric motor develops 55 hp and is supplied with energy by a high-performance lithium-ion battery housed in the trunk.

It’s not like the new 2012 BMW 650i Convertible lacks power with its twin-turbo 4.4 liter V8 making 400-hp giving it the ability to go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds. However, for the engineering team at AC Schnitzer, power apparently has no limit.

At the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, AC Schnitzer will debut its modification package for the BMW 650i Convertible that will upgrade power from 400-hp to 540-hp. That will give the 2012 BMW 650i the ability to go from 0 to 62 mph in 4.4 seconds (0 to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds). Top speed is increased from 155 mph to 192 mph.

Visual upgrades include a new front spoiler, chromed front grille and chrome decor strips, a rear skirt insert, and a range of 21-inch wheels. Inside, the AC Schnitzer tuned BMW 650i convertible gets trim painted in matte space grey, a sports steering wheel, AC Schnitzer ‘Black Line’ aluminum cover for the i-Drive system controller and the AC Schnitzer aluminum foot rests and pedals. Buyers will also get boot and foot mats in velours.

BMW’s 1-series is getting a line of accessories for the first time, to be revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show next week. The accessories further promote the modern and sporty components of the model.

For the interior, velour edged floor mats are available in a range of color options. A luggage compartment tray can be added, along with ski and snowboard bags with plenty of colors and materials to choose from.

Bicycle racks come with room for two bikes and access to the luggage compartment, and have been designed to be light.

BMW also took weight reduction into consideration with new alloy wheels and in the new Performance an aerodynamics package, which also comes with a lighter breaking system.

The BMW Performance power kit for the 135i and 335i kick power up by 20hp, as well.

The German tuners over at Lumma Design are taking yet another stab on the BMW X6, this time, on the most powerful diesel model, the xDrive40d that is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six delivering 306-horses and 600Nm (442 lb-ft) of peak torque in factory tune.

After Lumma Design’s people get their way with the diesel unit by updating the software and adding a custom exhaust system, output is increased to a more hearty 340-horses and 670Nm (494 lb-ft).

Other performance-related modifications include the lowered sports suspension (-40mm) and the 22-inch lightweight alloy wheels wrapped around in 295/30-22 tires up front and 335/25-22 at the rear.

Next up is the exterior styling package that includes a wide body kit with a new front bumper sporting additional LED lamps, a blacked out grille, wheel arch extensions, side skirts with air vents, and a restyled rear bumper that makes place for a diffuser and the quad tail pipes.

Numerous carbon fiber parts such as the rear boot lid spoiler, mirrors caps, and headlamp trim complete the BMW X6's exterior makeover.

The black and white color theme is continued inside with Lumma Design dressing the X6 in a mix of regular and carbon fiber-like leather, Alcantara and aluminum. In addition, there are independent front and rear sport seats with a backrest shells in structured carbon leather while the German tuner also added bespoke instruments and aluminum pedals.

Both the BMW 6-Series Coupe and Cabriolet are now available with the M Sport package. We only have a few pix of this new red coupe for now, but we’ll update the gallery in this story as soon as we have more pix. Other than the bodykit, the M Sport kit includes these 19 inch 351M wheels you see here as standard, along with dark chrome exhaust tailpipes, High-gloss Shadowline exterior trim and black brake calipers.
On the inside, you get the usual M Sport look which consists of black headlining, Aluminium Hexagon trim, Sport seats and an M Sport multi-function leather steering wheel.
Along with the new M Sport bodykit, BMW has also added a new diesel engine to the F12 Cabrio and the F13 Coupe, which were both previously available only with petrol engines. The new diesel model is the 640d, which uses a 3.0 liter twin turbo inline-6 diesel making 313hp at 4,400rpm and 630Nm of torque from 1,500rpm.

will be offering a performance upgrade for the X3 xDrive30d too.

Even at a standstill, the X3 by AC Schnitzer shows off its assets - and not only when the bonnet is open. For the 6-cylinder petrol models 2.8i and 3.5i, an AC Schnitzer sports exhaust made of stainless steel is currently in development. This improves response and provides that special sonorous sound. The chromed "Racing" tailpipe trim sets the finishing touch to the exhaust system. For purely visual enhancement, this tailpipe trim is also available as a stand-alone accessory for diesel variants.

BMW has released information on a pair of new special-edition 3 Series models available in Europe. The 2012 3 Series Exclusive Edition will offer buyers new 18-inch, lightweight V-Spoke wheels as well as a unique Mineral Grey exterior paint. Inside, the cabin is wrapped in Dakota leather in either Pearl Grey with contrast stitching or black. Bamboo grain anthracite wood trim adds a bit of specialness as well.
Of greater interest to enthusiasts is news that BMW will also offer customers a new 2012 3 Series M Sport Edition with a slightly sharper performance edge. BMW turned its M engineers lose on the vehicle's suspension and a host of exterior and interior tweaks help set both the coupe and convertible models apart from the rest of their pack.
The M Sport Edition features a set of 18-inch lightweight alloy wheels of its very own, and shadow line window finishers join a body-color rear diffuser. Indoors, an M Sport steering wheel and stainless pedals are standard equipment, as are Dakota leather seats with blue contrast stitching.
