One of the most stunning entry for the 2014 Detroit Motor show, the Nissan Sport Sedan Concept hints at a future Nissan Maxima. Nissan mentions that the study comes with a retuned version of its 3.5-liter V6 producing more than 300-horses backed by a sport-tuned Xtronic CVT driving the front wheels (21-inch all around), and that the car "features an innovative suspension layout with performance dampers". The Juke-R is a special, road legal concept car, of which only two examples will be built, one in left-hand-drive and the other in right-hand-drive.

The new images and videos give us our first detailed look at the Juke R. On the outside, Nissan's designers applied a matte black finish to the small crossover before adding a host of aero components, the styling of which was inspired of course by the GT-R.

The car's bad-boy looks with the flared wheel arches that cover the GT-R-sourced 20-inch RAYS forged alloy wheels, widened front bumper with large air vents, sculpted side skirts, prominent rear bumper with a diffuser and the split rear wing, leave little doubt that this ain't your ordinary Juke.

Same goes for the interior where Nissan's engineers ditched the rear seat bench and added a race-spec roll cage. The crossover also gained a pair of race seats up front along with GT-R-sourced steering wheel, pedals, dials and 7-inch touch-screen display.

But the most amazing changes take place under the skin where the Juke adopts the GT-R's 3.8-liter bi-turbocharged V6 engine with 480-horses as well as its all-wheel drive system, gearbox and suspension, all of which were modified appropriately. Nissan has not yet announced performance figures.

Unveiled at the Shanghai International Motor Show this year, Nissan's new sexy Hatch is ready to do battel with its C -segment competitors. If you’ve been in the Latio Sport, you’d have noticed the car’s impressive cabin space. The new one further builds on this. At 4,295 mm long and 1,760 mm wide, the new car is 45 mm longer and 65 mm wider. More significantly, the wheelbase has been increased by 100 mm to make 2,700 mm, leading Nissan to claim best-in-class rear knee room.

Nissan’s HR16DE is again in service, but with added Pure Drive low-emission technologies such as dual injectors. Transmission choices include a manual gearbox and Nissan’s Xtronic CVT. However, the highlight is the 1.6L turbo variant, which makes 190 hp and 240 Nm of torque.

Presenting the 'Impul-ized' Nissan Juke which is quirky in design terms to begin with.

The front end gets some silver treatment on the full length grille strip and also the front lip, which comes in a unique wave design. It’s matched with side skirts in the same colour. For the white Juke, Impul recommends its Racing Aura SR-08 19-inch rims in black. The huge wheels are paired with 245/40 rubber. Another side addition are the aero visors.

The rear end features a prominent diffuser style bumper and of course, Impul’s trademark big spoiler. The elaborate spoiler sits on the bottom edge of the glass, instead of the top, an unusual layout for vehicles with a hatch.

Performance parts such as an tweaked ECU, extra power kit with throttle valves, shocks and springs are in the works.

With CO2 emissions of only 95 g/km, Nissan’s all-new Micra DIG-S has one of the cleanest petrol engines in the world. To achieve this, the Japanese firm's engineers used a 1.2-liter three-cylinder unit fitted with a supercharger and direct injection, which can be coupled either to a manual transmission or a CVT automatic gearbox.

The powerplant uses the Miller cycle and with a peak output of 98HP and 142 Nm (105 lb-ft) of torque, it’s said to be on par with a conventional 1.5-liter four-cylinder unit. Other technical highlights include the 13:1 compression ratio that increases combustion efficiency, the reduced heat, friction and pumping losses thanks to fewer moving parts, and advanced engine management systems with Start/Stop feature and energy regeneration capabilities.

When equipped with a manual transmission, the entry-level trim grade of the Micra DIG-S can hit a top speed of 180 km/h (112 mph), while returning estimated fuel consumption of 4.1 lt/100 km (57.4 US mpg) on the combined cycle with 95 g/km of CO2.

Manual variants with higher trim levels (Acenta and Tekna) emit 99 g/km due to the added equipment. The CVT version is the least efficient of the pack, but with CO2 emissions of 115 g/km is still a proper tree hugger’s car.

Depending on market, the Micra DIG-S is also exempt from road tax and/or congestion charges and customers can benefit from further tax breaks and governmental incentives.
Nissan will showcase the DIG-S at the Geneva Motor Show in March with European sales set to debut this summer. It will be only available in a five-door body style and with three trim levels. Besides the supercharged engine, the Japanese automaker is offering an 80HP 1.2-liter naturally aspirated variant as well.

The time has come for Nissan to release its plans for the rapidly approaching Geneva Salon. For this year's edition of the show, the Japanese automaker has prepared an impressive sports coupe concept named the ESFLOW. It has most of the right ingredients to satisfy purists, including a rear-wheel drive layout, a 0 to 100km/h [62 mph] sprint time of under 5 seconds, two seats and an aggressive design, but there's a catch: it runs purely on electricity.

The Japanese automaker claims it has "captured the excitement of a sports car and the environmental benefits of an electric vehicle and blended them into one dramatic two-seater concept".

The ESFLOW has been created from the ground up as a pure electric vehicle using technology introduced in the Leaf EV. The concept model runs on two electric motors with an unspecified output that are placed above the axis of the rear wheels, in a mid-ship position. These motors independently control the left and right wheels, with Nissan claiming that the torque is optimized to ensure vehicle stability and control as well as efficient power regeneration.

The company says the electric motors produce enough torque in an instant for the car to reach 100km/h (62 mph) in under 5 seconds.Talk about a fiery green vehicle but for those who majors in electrical engineering wouldn't be surprise as certain type of motor churs out the maximum torque at very low rpm.

Here’s a name that should sound very familiar, except that it’s on a completely new face. Nissan has unveiled an all-new global sedan called the Sunny at the 8th China (Guangzhou) International Automobile Exhibition.

The Sunny name isn’t new to China – it was first introduced in 2003 on the first locally-built model from the new Dongfeng Nissan partnership, and the first Sunny quickly helped establish the Nissan brand in the passenger vehicle market there.

This one is set to take things further afield – Nissan says the car will be a projected class leader in fuel economy, and is expected to appeal to young families in their 30s looking for a medium-sized sedan that combines a dynamic upscale design with the space, quality and features associated with the model and the brand.

It’s powered by the ubiquitous HR15DE 1.5 litre block, with dual injectors per cylinder and a partnering new-generation Xtronic CVT transmission being new to China. Other specs include front MacPherson struts and a torsion beam for the rear suspension.

The car will be produced at the Dongfeng Nissan Huadu Plant in Guangzhou for the Chinese market, and the new Sunny will go on sale first in China in January 2011 before progressively making its way into 170 countries worldwide under different vehicle brand names.

Nissan Ellure concept Wallpaper

Nissan Ellure Concept
2010 LA Autoshow:Nissan Ellure Concept Wallpaper

Nissan calls its Ellure concept "the sedan re-imagined," previewing what sort of design is possible for its forthcoming four-door range. This concept is at once elegant and aggressive, with styling elements that don't stray too far from what the automaker is currently putting out. Those headlamps, for example, use the same fin-like design of the taillights on the 370Z and Juke, and are a more forward-thinking version of what we currently see on the Maxima.

Let's be clear, though – there are plenty of elements on the Ellure that are purely concept car spec. The large, 21-inch wheels and rear-hinged rear doors, for example – stylish and sleek, yes, but hardly practical for future production sedans. The same thing can be said for the interior, which uses suede seats, "floating" headrests, red floors and red pedals (why don't more cars have these?).

The Ellure is powered by a supercharged 2.5-liter inline-four and a 25-kilowatt electric motor, mated to the automaker's Xtronic CVT and a front-wheel-drive layout. Nissan says the concept uses regenerative braking and an advanced drive-by-wire electric/hydraulic steering system to ensure that the Ellure is as involving as possible for drivers out on the road.

No, the Ellure won't be destined for production, but we're eager to see how this sexy new sedan influences Nissan's future product portfolio.

Arriving in dealerships in the beginning of next year, the 2011 Nissan Quest will be offered in four trims: S, SV, SL and LE. All four are powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 253 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque, and it's paired with Nissan's Xtronic CVT unit. Each trim is also fairly well-equipped, with even the base Quest S receiving push-button ignition and a six-disc CD audio system. The top-level Quest LE goes all out with such features as a DVD entertainment system with wireless headphones, a blind-spot warning system and HID headlights.

Besides the tech amenities, the Quest also offers a plethora of what-you-would-expect minivan features. The 2nd and 3rd rows of seating both fold flat to the floor, and a deep rear storage well adds even more cargo space if you are traveling with items other than passengers.

Nissan has launched its fourth-generation Serena ‘minivan’ in Japan, and the vehicle will begin domestic sales at the end of this month. The C26 is a full-model change, replacing the C25 which was in the market from 2003 until this year.

The vehicle features the new MR20DD engine, and the 2.0 litre direct injection block, with twin variable valve timing control, replaces the MR20DE on the outgoing Serena. Output figures for the unit, which is mated to a Xtronic CVT gearbox, are 147 hp at 5,600 rpm and 210 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm.

The eight-seater gets a larger cabin than its predecessor, including an interior length that’s 300mm longer than the C25′s. As before, you get a multitude of seating configurations, fourteen in all, and the third row seats, through the help of an innovative link mechanism, sits 175mm lower compared to the ones in the previous Serena, offering the occupants better visibility.

Novelties include an Idling Stop system, which adopts an ECO motor that restarts the engine and also serves as an alternator during deceleration. Pluses offered by the belt-type engine cranking system, where the ECO motor restarts the engine by directly rotating a pulley directly connected to the crank through the belt, are a shorter start time as well as quieter operation, since there’s no starter motor.

Besides offering improved aerodynamic efficiency (it’s 8% better than the older Serena), the new one has a Zone Body that’s stiffer, yet is more comfy than its predecessor.

Among the many items on the equipment list are VDC, TCS, ABS and EBD plus Brake Assist, Hill Start assist, curtain and side airbags, Isofix mount points, front seat active head restraints and auto light and rain sensors.
